Christmas

Justin and I made a trip up to see our family for Christmas. We stayed for a week and had a great time with all the relatives. It's been really great to be able to see family as much as we have over the past few months. I think Justin is at a point where he really remembers people now. He has certainly learned how to give kisses and hugs and gives them out very willingly to those he knows!!

Our trip started with a brief visit from aunt Catherine. She flew down to us to help me get through the holiday airport traffic. It was so nice to have someone to travel with! Justin did great on the flight but the day after we arrived, he had a fever. He slept a little more and drooled a lot so I decided it had to be due to his molars. FUN! But after about 24 hours, he was back down to a normal level and doing ok. He hung out with Grandma and Grandpa so I could go to dinner one night and seemed to have a great time!

We spent Christmas Eve with JP's family in Sacramento. We had the traditional Christmas Eve gumbo--crab, shrimp, sausage, chicken--yum!! It's always so great!

Mike and Cara doing their thing...

We opened presents Christmas morning with the Stefani side of the family, then headed down to the Bay Area to open presents and have Christmas dinner with the Goodearl side of the family. I managed to time things right so Justin slept in the car on the way down. Once the wrapping paper settled, we all went outside to play a little. It was pretty cold so I got to use all the "winter clothes" I have for Justin that we don't get to use in San Diego. He looked pretty darned cute!! And actually left the mittens and hat on the entire time! I guess he was cold enough to not want them off. Anyway, I got a good picture of him playing in the leaves...

Christmas dinner was excellent--roast beef--always a favorite! We'll be back again soon to visit the family again. JP is coming home for a brief visit and we're very excited!! I'll post more pictures later... I wasn't the only one taking pics during Christmas.
