Happy New Year!

Justin and I celebrated an early evening to help ring in 2009. We started the night by going to dinner with some friends of ours who also have young kids. Honestly, I had planned to end my evening there seeing as Justin is usually in bed around 7 PM. But since it was the holiday, I figured we'd see how well Justin would do going a little longer. We were invited to a neighbor's house for a kid-friendly New York celebration of NYE--read: watching the ball drop at 9 PM. After dinner I got Justin ready for bed and headed over. There were five other kids there and Justin did great! He immediately went to town playing with the other kids and toys. We stayed until the ball dropped and headed home. Justin was asleep in about two minutes, but didn't complain at all! It was nice to get out for New Year's and be able to celebrate with Justin.
