Yep, she was due to arrive on December 13th, but has yet to make her appearance. We had the option of inducing on 12/09, but I ended up opting to cancel that appointment. Part of it was simply because I didn't want to rush her along--it wasn't medically necessary in any way. Part of it was also in consideration of possible insurance reprocussions.
So 12/13 came and went! I've had several Braxton Hicks contractions, but no other "notable" contractions. As of last Wednesday (12/15) I was only 1 cm dialated and not much else. And after an ultrasound to confirm that the baby is still healthy and my pregnancy is still good, we decided to give her about a week longer. I'm scheduled for an induction tomorrow, 12/22, unless she decides to move along tonight! While Mimi and Papa tried to be here for the original due date, it looks like Grandma and Grandpa will end up being here for the actual birthdate. I was and am thrilled to have any family close by for her arrival. It means that Justin got to see Mimi and Papa, and now, Grandma and Grandpa, right around the holidays--plus we have someone to stay with him while we are at the hospital.
Hopefully all goes smoothly--either tonight or tomorrow for the induction. I do have some small fears of complications with inductions, but I'm praying for smooth sailing! She won't be a TRUE Christmas baby, but it'll be close!
