Our baby girl was born on December 22 at 10:13 pm, weighing 8 lbs 11 oz and measuring 21" long. We tried to avoid a "Christmas Baby" but ended up pretty darned close! As it was, we ended up going home on Christmas Eve. I love the little stocking cap in this photo. Some of the volunteers at the hospital were handing them out just for the week of Christmas. So sweet!!
Here we are out on a walk at about 6 weeks old. It's been pretty chilly here, so we had her bundled up in a hooded sweater. I just love the little expression on her face! I posted the photo of Justin at about the same age, looking at me with a very similar expression.
And what would a blog post be with out at least ONE smile!! She's 7 weeks old now and does a lot of cooing and little tiny "chatting" sessions. Smiles a lot for mom and dad. I think she and big brother Justin are still figuring each other out. He's being very gentle with her and really likes to help during bath time. It's getting him to understand that she has a lot more "naps" than he does and that sometimes mom has to be alone in the room with Della to get her to sleep. We're working on it! Although at this stage, her favorite place to sleep is in someones arms. For now, snuggling is great... but an occasional nap in the crib would be nice! I suppose I shouldn't complain, she sleeps like a champ in the crib during the night. So things could be worse.
