If you don't know the standard weather for San Diego for this time of year, it's traditionally called "May Gray" which is followed by "June Gloom" due to the overcast conditions. But this year, our "May Gray" lasted for about two days and it's been a whole lot of sunshine since. We love that except this last week has been really WARM and that doesn't make for easy weather for a baby--or Mom! I want to take Justin outside to enjoy the great weather, but I have to slather on the sunscreen just to go for a walk and once we're walking, I'm sweating due to pushing a stroller in this heat! But, it still didn't prevent me from taking my son outside to enjoy it.
This weekend we helped our friend Aidan celebrate his 1st birthday! It was at Mission Beach and luckily there are a few good shade trees there. But it was so amazing to see Aidan celebrate his first birthday because it made me think how in a two short months Justin will be celebrating HIS first birthday as well! People keep telling me that it goes by so fast, but until you are actually in it and experiencing it, you don't really realize it. Anyway, we had a good time visiting with the other kids at the party. Justin, as always, LOVES being around other kids. He gets so excited to see them! Here are a few shots from the event:

Justin giving them a try.On Sunday we met up with a few of our friends for some FUN in the pool. Justin has been taking swimming lessons, but this was just a fun event. I got the little floater for him so I could take him in the pool and not have to hold him the whole time. He LOVED it!
