General Updates

Just wanted to post a more recent family photo for everyone to see.  I took the artistic liberty to cut out my belly a bit, but trust me, it's there!

I'm officially 35 weeks along and doing well.  The baby kicks quite a bit, but they are a bit softer than Justin when he was in there.  According to my doctor, she's measuring right on track for the 12.13 due date.   But we'll see if that stays true as these last few weeks progress.  I certainly don't want to press into Christmas time!

Justin is also doing well.  Quite the question/inquiry man, "What's that?  Read that sign, please!  Are those our neighbors?"  It's that last question that has been a bit problematic lately.  He shows no sign of "stranger danger".  It's a little awkward when we pass someone on the street and he immediately wants to introduce himself and know their name.  Most people are fairly nice about it, but I think I need to invest in a stranger-danger book or video to clarify "Stranger, Sort-of Friend, and Family/Friend".

Jon-Paul is also doing pretty well.  December is actually a turning point for him for his Naval Reserves--he'll have a new drilling site, in the Bay Area!  That means he'll fly up once a month, but maybe once the baby is a little older, we'll be able to go together and visit family at the same time.

As for me--outside of the baby--I've just been trying to enjoy some of these last few weeks before we add to our family.  I've done some indulgent things, but have also done several projects around here.  But one of the fun things I did recently was attend a cooking class.  I took this class in particular because it was all about cooking for your first Thanksgiving.  For me it was more about the turkey portion of the day than anything.  Great tips!!  And if I so choose, I can take on a pumpkin pie from scratch!

It's so hard to show them who is a friend and who isn't. Luckily Emma is shy, so I'm always reminding her to say "hi" back to people if they say "hi" to her. On another note, Owen used to kick me SO hard during the last month. It was never that bad with Emma. It's that crazy testosterone that boys have! They are SO much stronger! Crazy. You look FANTASTIC by the way!
