Flower Fields

About 20 minutes north of us is Carlsbad, which is best know as the home of Legoland, but it is also home of the Carlsbad Flower Fields. It's a pretty amazing place to go visit. They have several 'kid' oriented things to do there. They hand you a map when you first arrive which helps you find all the various places of interest around the fields. At each station, they've also included a stamp so that the kids can participate in the visit. They have to add the stamp to the appropriate section of their map to show they've visited. It kind of keeps them excited along the way.

While there are several vast beds of flowers growing for you to view and photograph (including a huge American flag out of flower), they also have a sweet pea maze, playground, rose garden, gold mining station and a tractor ride. I think the kids had a great time checking everything out!

Ready to go! (Look at all that curly hair!)

Posing with flowers and friends... Amberly, Isabelle, Kyle and Justin.

A small portion of the fields.

Waiting for our tractor ride.

Someone was getting tired of pictures... but had to have one more with mom.
