Summer in Sun Valley

Mimi and Papa spend part of their time in beautiful Sun Valley, ID and we decided to go visit them this summer. We managed to make it overlap Aunt Cara and Aunt Catherine's birthday so we could help celebrate. The weather was pretty nice--one or two overcast days--but overall warm! We tried to take Justin on a hike with us in the backpack carrier, but he wasn't a fan. Needless to say, the hike was a short one.


We did get to attend a few summer concerts while we were there. They have a wonderful new pavilion for their concerts with a large grassy area for the kids to run around on. The pictures below are from "Peter and the Wolf" which Anna and Justin seemed to enjoy.

Another day the entire family drove up to Galena for a hike and brunch. It was a very pretty hike and the kids had a good time exploring. They checked out all the trees and the small nearby creek. Justin and Anna learned all about tossing stones into the water--Papa showed them!
