It's been a little while since our last post and I promise, I'm working on the pictures and posts for our Spring and Easter activities. Before I get those done, I just had to take a moment and share a cute story with you all.
Justin has been sick this past week with a severe cold--fever and cough. So we've been cooped up in the house trying to get him better and keep him from infecting other kids. Needless to say, I've been feeling a bit of cabin fever. Since Justin seemed livelier today (and his fever was gone), I decided to head to Stroller Strides. At the end of class, while we were stretching, I let Justin get out of the stroller to run around the grass area. At that moment, a hummingbird flew down very close to the ground and Justin noticed it. He got this big smile on his face and started to chase it around. I was a little surprised by how close the hummingbird let him get before flitting a little further away. It was so cute! The bird just kept hovering low to the ground, keeping about 5 feet from Justin, letting him chase him around the grass. It kept Justin busy for about 15 minutes or so until the bird finally flew away.
I knew he'd never catch it, but it was so cute to watch him try!
